Capt. John 12 Hour Monday May 30, 2016

Todays 12 hour offshore trip by the party boat Capt. John was run with Captain Johnny Williams in the drivers seat. He took the 55 anglers aboard to the area of the Claypile, about 65 miles to the south southeast of the island. Several stops were made over natural bottom in 110-120 feet of water.

Hitting the cut squid or spanish sardine baits that were fished at or near the bottom for the most part. The kingfish hit freelined sardines fished near the surface.

Todays total catch consisted of the following:

44 Vermillion Snapper

7 Mangrove Snapper

1 Ling

4 Amberjack

6 Kingfish

7 Triggerfish

1 Rockhind Grouper

1 Porgy

1 Blue Runner

1 Grasby

2 Lane Snapper

Two days and red snapper opens.
