Capt John 12 Hour Offshore Thursday June 9, 2016

Today’s 82 anglers aboard the party boat Capt. John were taken almost 60 miles to the south of the island where two spots were fished.

First on Captain Johnny Williams fishing stops list was one over natural bottom in 100′ of water. The majority of todays red snapper limit to 25# were taken there with cut squid or whole Spanish sardines accounting for most.

Next on the list was a production platform about 30 miles off the island. The platform had spadefish, Atlantic sharpnose shark and bluerunner to add to the total catch mix. Todays total catch was made up of:

164 Red snapper to 25# (Two of there heaviest went 20 and 16# each)

81 Atlantic spadefish

5 Atlantic sharpnose shark

2 Bluerunner

Jennifer Mushinski, Houston, Her limit included the trips heaviest red snapper, a really nice one of 25#.

Robert Corkren,Katy, With a red snapper limit was topped out with a 16 pounder.

Bill Reichenbach, Galveston, had a red snapper limit to 12#.

Jim Marigliano, Dallas, His red snapper limit went to 8#.
