Capt John 12 Hour Offshore Friday June 17, 2016

Two offshore trips of 12 hours each were run by Williams. It’s not exactly what it might sound like, one was a regular 12 hour by the party boat Capt. John with Captain Johnny Williams at the wheel. the other was a charter by Owen Sutherland on the party boat Texsun II with Captain Jill Williams heading up the show there.

The Capt. John fished the area about 55 miles to the south southeast of the island where natural bottom structure (rocks)in 120′ of water was the target. Hitting the squid or sardine baits fort the 81 anglers were the following:

162 Red snapper (boat limit) to 14#

2 Kingfish

1 Sharpnose shark

Captain Jill had her charter group of 39 fishing in the area of 45 miles to the south southeast of the island. Under her direction the Owen Sutherland Charter group hit a home run with this catch:

78 Red snapper

2 Vermillion snapper

2 Kingfish
